Job summary

Talent is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract in Sydney. The role requires a current AGSVA NV1 security clearance and strong Azure experience, with a hybrid setup requiring 3 days in the Sydney office.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, IaC automation, and monitoring of Azure environments. You will collaborate with development and operations teams to drive improvements across DevOps tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in DevOps or platform engineering.
• Strong Azure experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM, Bicep or similar.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• PowerShell, Bash or similar scripting skills.
• Experience with monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and optimise build, release and deployment processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automate environment provisioning.
• Support Azure cloud and containerised environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability and reliability.
• Implement security, compliance and governance controls.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure and environment issues.
• Work closely with development and operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across DevOps tooling and automation.
