Tech Mahindra is seeking an experienced DevOps/Production Support professional in Sydney, NSW to support deployments across multiple environments. You will manage Jenkins and Azure DevOps pipelines, troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable releases.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in DevOps or related roles, hands-on Windows Server, IIS, networking, SSL certificates, and SQL Server administration.

• Strong troubleshooting across apps, databases, and infrastructure.
• Hands-on Windows Server, IIS, Networking, SSL certs, on-prem infra.
• Scripting skills with PowerShell and Shell.
• Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, CI/CD release management.
• Knowledge of Chef Cookbooks and deployment troubleshooting.
• Microsoft SQL Server and SSMS experience incl. provisioning, config, backups, jobs.
• SQL/Windows authentication management and security/admin tasks.
• ServiceNow for Incident/Change/Release Management; Jira and Agile/Scrum delivery.

What You'll Do:

• Manage Deployments: Support application and infrastructure deployments across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
• Drive CI/CD Excellence: Manage and troubleshoot Jenkins and Azure DevOps pipelines, ensuring smooth release and deployment activities.
• Ensure Environment Stability: Perform environment validation, deployment verification, production support, and operational readiness checks.
• Support Infrastructure & Integrations: Troubleshoot connectivity, certificates, authentication, networking, IIS, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Administer SQL Server Environments: Support SQL Server provisioning, configuration, database deployments, backup/restore activities, SQL Agent jobs, and database performance troubleshooting.
• Execute Change & Recovery Activities: Participate in change management, disaster recovery testing, rollback planning, and recovery validation exercises.
• Collaborate in Agile Teams: Work closely with development, infrastructure, DBA, and delivery teams to successfully meet project and release commitments.
• Maintain Operational Excellence: Create and maintain deployment documentation, runbooks, support procedures, and operational knowledge articles.

What We're Looking For:

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Application Support, Production Support, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across applications, databases, and infrastructure components.
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server, IIS, Networking, SSL Certificates, and On-Premises Infrastructure.
• Strong scripting skills using PowerShell and/or Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and CI/CD release management.
• Knowledge of Chef Cookbooks and deployment troubleshooting.
• Working experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), including:
• Server and database provisioning and configuration.
• SQL and Windows authentication management.
• User, role, and permission administration.
• Backup, restore, and SQL Server Agent job management.
• T-SQL scripting and troubleshooting connectivity, blocking, and job failures.
• Experience with ServiceNow for Incident, Change, and Release Management.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with GitHub Actions workflow development and support.
• Exposure to IBM MQ, API integrations, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Elastic, or Grafana.
• Experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering, and DR testing.
• Exposure to database deployment automation tools such as Liquibase or Flyway.
• SQL performance tuning experience including execution plans, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Prior experience working within Banking or Financial Services environments.
