Job summary

CyberCX is seeking a Cloud Engineer – Cloud Operations to deliver secure, scalable Azure-based services in a Managed Services environment. You will partner with Pre-sales, Professional Services and Leadership to ensure operational excellence and long-term customer success.

The role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation and automation to provide high-quality cloud outcomes aligned with client needs.

Qualifications

Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 experience or certification, including Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, Windows 365, Intune, and Defender.
Broad experience across Azure platform services, Windows systems, Microsoft identity and mail services, database platforms, Microsoft and third‑party security tools, and DevOps technologies including Azure DevOps.
Background in delivering cloud services within a Managed Services environment, including monitoring, incident management, and SLA compliance.
Experience using cloud monitoring tools to manage, troubleshoot, and optimise infrastructure.
Knowledge of cloud networking, including VPCs, VPNs, hybrid cloud, and inter‑cloud connectivity.
Database Administration skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimise customer cloud environments, especially Azure and Microsoft 365, for availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Automate workflows and apply best practices to reduce manual effort.
Provide proactive client support and resolve cloud issues before they affect services.
Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, security, and networking issues with minimal downtime.
Maintain secure cloud environments aligned with standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
Implement security controls, run vulnerability assessments, and protect client systems from cyber threats.
Collaborate with Pre-sales, Professional Services, Leadership, and clients to align cloud services with business needs.
Identify opportunities to optimise cloud environments and improve client outcomes.
Participate in an on‑call roster in line with company payroll and overtime policies.
