Job summary

TIMG, part of Freightways Australia ICT, seeks a cloud engineer in Sydney to own Azure-focused infrastructure, migration planning and hybrid networking. You will build and test cloud foundations, implement automation and ensure resilient operations across multiple business units.

You will collaborate with architecture teams and stakeholders, apply security controls, monitor costs and participate in on-call and occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Practical cloud engineering experience, preferably in Azure, with ability to build, test and support cloud infrastructure.
• Basic scripting and infrastructure-as-code skills are required.
• Experience with Terraform or Bicep, PowerShell, Git and deployment pipelines is useful.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud foundations and hybrid connectivity across networking, identity, compute, storage and monitoring.
• Assess workloads and deliver staged migrations with testing, rollback and business readiness checks.
• Build, adapt and maintain infrastructure as code, deployment templates and scripts.
• Apply security controls, implement monitoring and test backup and recovery.
• Estimate costs, monitor spend and optimise configurations against business needs, performance and resilience.
• Investigate faults and prepare documentation and handovers.
