Job summary

TIMG, employed through Freightways Australia ICT, is seeking a cloud engineer to own Azure-based infrastructure with some AWS work. The role is primarily onsite in Sydney, reporting to the Infrastructure Lead.

You will build, test, and hand over cloud solutions, with guidance from architecture specialists and infrastructure teams. Key focus areas include IaC, deployment templates, cost monitoring, and resilience.

Qualifications

• Cloud engineering experience with Azure preferred.
• Ability to build, test and support cloud infrastructure.
• Basic scripting and IaC skills required.
• Terraform or Bicep experience desirable.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure is useful.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud foundations and hybrid connectivity across networking, identity, compute, storage and monitoring.
• Assess workloads and deliver staged migrations with testing, rollback and readiness checks.
• Build, adapt and maintain infrastructure as code, deployment templates and scripts.
• Implement security controls, monitoring and test backup and recovery.
• Estimate costs, monitor spend and optimise configurations against business needs.
• Investigate faults and prepare documentation and handovers.
