Job summary

Experian is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and evolve a secure, scalable Azure environment powering mission-critical financial services applications across Australia and New Zealand. You will play an important part in delivering reliable, high-performing Azure solutions while allowing engineering teams to deploy efficiently.

This role reports to Cloud Platform Manager. What You'll Do

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Network Security Groups, Entra ID, and Azure Storage.
• Desirable: experience with Checkpoint firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC, pipelines, automation).
• Develop, deploy and support Azure cloud solutions (VMs, PaaS, resources).
• Assess and address security vulnerabilities and manage network configurations.
• Monitor and optimise cloud platforms for availability, performance, cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and maintain documentation.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and evolve a secure, scalable cloud environment powering mission-critical financial services applications across Australia and New Zealand. You will play an important part in delivering reliable, high-performing Azure solutions while allowing engineering teams to deploy efficiently. This role reports to Cloud Platform Manager

What You'll Do

• Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), deployment pipelines and automation, to improve the efficiency and reliability of cloud deployments.
• Develop, deploy and support cloud solutions, including virtual machines, PaaS services and appropriately provisioned resources across cloud environments.
• Assess and address security vulnerabilities, applying relevant security standards and managing cloud network configurations, including Network Security Groups, virtual networks, subnets and firewall rules.
• Monitor and optimise cloud platforms to meet availability, performance and service-level requirements while improving resource utilisation and managing cloud costs through efficient provisioning and right-sizing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote consistency, reliability and continuous improvement across environments, while maintaining clear and up-to-date technical and process documentation.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• At least 5+ years of experience working in Microsoft Azure
• Intermediate to experience of Azure including Terraform, Network Security Groups, Entra ID, and Azure Storage.
• Desirable, but not essential: Experience working with Checkpoint firewalls.
• Mandatory: Holds a tertiary education degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least one of the below certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• At least one of the below certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
