Job summary

Ambition is seeking a hands-on Cloud Architect in Sydney to design and implement Azure foundations, shape the cloud roadmap with senior leadership, and enable security, infrastructure and applications teams to deliver on the strategy. The role involves leading migrations to Azure, establishing governance, and collaborating with security and data teams to ensure compliant patterns.

The successful candidate will have proven Azure experience, IaC and CI/CD fluency and a strong focus on data

Qualifications

• Hands-on Azure architecture design and delivery.
• Experience with IaC (Bicep, Terraform or ARM) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub).
• Background with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the definition and driving the cloud infrastructure strategy.
• Designing and building Azure landing zones, governance and automation.
• Leading the migration of legacy servers and file storage to Azure and SharePoint.
• Creating the platform and building blocks for data to be stored, governed and secured properly.
• Working with the security and applications teams on secure, consistent design patterns.
• Engaging vendors and partners on project delivery.
• Explaining technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
