Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Australia to design and operate Azure-based cloud environments that are secure, scalable and efficient. You will drive automation, IaC, and ongoing optimization across customer environments.

In this role you’ll work across cloud operations, platform engineering and customer delivery, helping organisations modernise their environments while developing expertise in AI-enabled platforms and enterprise AI services within Datacom’s growing Cloud and AI practice.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cloud engineering and operations.
• Hands-on Azure and cloud automation experience.
• Familiarity with IaC and modern automation tools.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Good communication with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and support Azure cloud environments that are secure, scalable and operationally efficient.
• Automate cloud platform provisioning, configuration and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and modern automation tools.
• Support cloud transformation, migration and modernisation initiatives for customers.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve cloud platform issues while maintaining high levels of customer service and operational excellence.
• Develop and improve automation capabilities across cloud operations and platform delivery.
• Build and maintain cloud platform documentation, operational procedures and knowledge-sharing resources.
• Work closely with architects, engineers and customer stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
• Contribute to Azure governance, security, compliance and operational best practices.
• Support the adoption of AI-ready cloud platforms and assist with the deployment of AI-related services and capabilities.
