Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Cloud & AI Platform Specialist - Azure to design, build and continuously improve secure Azure cloud and AI platforms. You will work across discovery, architecture, implementation and ongoing operation, collaborating with customer architects, security and operations to enable cloud and AI adoption.

The role involves designing platform foundations, automation, AI-enabled environments and responsible AI governance, with a focus on delivering reusable solutions and reference

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Azure consulting, cloud architecture and customer-facing delivery.
• Hands-on cloud platform engineering and IaC using Terraform or Bicep.
• Knowledge of secure-by-design cloud foundations, including identity, networking, governance, policy and security controls.
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing or supporting AI platforms and AI-enabled solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Practical experience with Azure AI services such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Search, or comparable enterprise AI platform technologies.
• Strong understanding of AI solution patterns, including retrieval-augmented generation, vector search and secure data integration.
• Experience designing or supporting agentic workflows, AI automation and tool integrations.
• Understanding of security, governance, testing, observability, lifecycle and cost considerations for enterprise AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure discovery, advisory and architecture engagements translating objectives into platform designs.
• Design and implement Azure foundations including landing zones, identity and networking.
• Build repeatable automation using Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, policy as code and CI/CD practices.
• Design and deploy AI-ready environments using services such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search, including retrieval-augmented generation and vector search.
• Develop and support governed agentic workflows with tool integrations, oversight and cost management.
• Establish responsible AI governance with data and prompt controls and security guardrails.
• Enable engineering teams through GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions and secure AI delivery practices.
• Establish observability and reliability practices across cloud platforms and AI services.
• Contribute reusable architectures, automation and delivery patterns for cloud and AI platforms.
• Support solution shaping, estimates, proposals and presentations to stakeholders.
