Job summary

Datacom, a leading IT services provider in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Cloud & AI Platform Specialist - Azure. You’ll design, build and continuously improve secure, governed Azure platforms, guiding customers from discovery through implementation and ongoing operation.

You’ll collaborate with customer architects, security and operations teams to enable cloud and AI adoption, develop reusable patterns, reference architectures and delivery accelerators.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Azure consulting, cloud architecture and customer-facing technology delivery.
• Hands-on capability in cloud platform engineering and Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of secure-by-design cloud foundations, governance and security controls.
• Experience with AI platforms and AI-enabled solutions in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure discovery, advisory and architecture engagements, translating objectives into platform designs.
• Design and implement Azure foundations including landing zones, identity, networking and governance.
• Build repeatable automation using IaC, GitOps, policy as code and CI/CD practices.
• Design and deploy AI-ready environments using Azure AI services and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Develop and support governed workflows, tool integrations and cost management.
• Establish responsible AI practices including governance, data and prompt controls.
• Enable engineering teams through GitHub tools and secure delivery practices.
• Ensure observability, reliability and actionable telemetry across platforms and AI services.
