Maurice Blackburn Lawyers is seeking an Application Developer on a 6-month contract. You will design, build and support applications within the Digital & Technology team, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure services including App Services, Functions, Application Insights, and Entra ID.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database design and data integration principles.
• Experience developing modern web applications with Blazor, Bootstrap and Syncfusion.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, integrations, OAuth, JWT authentication.
• Experience using GitHub, pull requests, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of testing and quality practices, including unit testing and TDD.
• Understanding of modern software architecture principles including DDD, secure coding practices and design patterns.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, VS Code, Postman and related tools.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative mindset to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy software solutions that meet business requirements and standards.
• Analyze technical and business requirements to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and provide expert technical input.
• Support and maintain existing applications, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for development and support.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities and deployment processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve applications, processes and development practices.
• Contribute innovative thinking and problem-solving to complex development challenges.
