Maurice Blackburn in Melbourne is seeking an Application Developer on a 6-month contract to design, build and support applications that help the firm deliver exceptional outcomes for clients. You will work within the Digital & Technology team, collaborating with stakeholders to create high-quality software solutions and evolve the technology landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Application Insights, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and data integration principles.
• Experience building modern web apps using Blazor, Bootstrap and Syncfusion.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, OAuth, JWT and authentication frameworks.
• Experience using GitHub, pull requests, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of testing and quality practices, including unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), secure coding practices and software design patterns.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Postman and other development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy software solutions that meet business requirements and standards.
• Analyze technical and business requirements to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and provide technical input.
• Support and maintain existing applications, identifying and resolving issues.
• Monitor performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for ongoing development.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities and deployments.
• Identify opportunities to improve applications, processes and development practices.
• Contribute innovative thinking to complex development challenges.
