Job summary

Jobtailor in Australia (Victoria) seeks a senior AWS cloud Engineer/Tech Lead to act as the primary cloud SME, guiding technology and business stakeholders and shaping cloud strategy across the organization.

You will own AWS infrastructure management, drive incident and change processes, build automated environments with CloudFormation and Terraform, mentor teams, and coordinate with offshore partners to deliver secure, resilient cloud services.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in AWS cloud environments, ideally as Senior Engineer or Technical Lead.
• Experience migrating and deploying apps using CloudFormation and Terraform with troubleshooting.
• AWS certifications.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, automation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience using Copilot, DevOps Agent, Splunk, CloudWatch to triage problems.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and provide expert guidance across teams.
• Mentor teams and collaborate with offshore delivery partners.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work autonomously in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary cloud SME, providing technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Lead AWS infrastructure management including incidents, changes and problems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop automated cloud solutions and environments.
• Ensure security, data privacy and compliance across cloud platforms.
• Lead monitoring, on-call, and major incident management with RCA.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to deliver quality cloud services and improvements.
