Job summary

Synechron is seeking an AWS Cloud Security and Governance consultant in Melbourne on a 6-month contract with extendable options. The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office and requires full Australian working rights.

You will design and implement AWS Organizations, SCP/RCP guardrails, IAM models, and policy-as-code to enforce security across multi-account environments. Key skills include Python/PowerShell automation, Config, CloudTrail, and CI/CD security integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing multi-account AWS security guardrails and SCPs.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, permission boundaries, and access control.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell).
• Hands-on with AWS Config, CloudTrail and policy-as-code approaches.
• Experience building automated security controls and remediation workflows.
• Familiarity with integrating security enforcement into CI/CD pipelines.
