Job summary

Orion Professional Services Pty Ltd in Canberra, ACT is seeking three experienced AWS Cloud Software Engineers to design, develop and maintain cloud-native applications and APIs on AWS. You will work on serverless, containerised, and event-driven solutions, using Terraform/CDK to provision infrastructure, and build CI/CD pipelines within an Agile team.

Qualifications

Experience as Software/Cloud Engineer with AWS.
Design and develop cloud-native apps and distributed systems.
Experience with AWS serverless, event-driven, and containerized tech.
Experience with Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, EventBridge, SNS, SQS and Step Functions.
IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
Strong software development, testing, security and quality practices.
Troubleshoot complex production issues.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices and integration services on AWS.
Build serverless, event-driven and containerised solutions using AWS services.
Design and provision cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
Develop reusable cloud components, frameworks and deployment patterns.
Translate requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews, testing, QA and defect resolution.
