Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking qualified AW139 Helicopter Pilots to join our Aviation & Critical Services team for the Queensland Health operation based on Horn Island, Queensland. This Touring role operates on a 15 days on / 13 days off roster, supporting aeromedical transport and emergency service missions across Far North Queensland, with potential deployment to other Babcock locations as needed.

We require extensive hours on type, current medical and CASA approvals, and readiness to travel

Qualifications

• AW139 type rating with 100+ hours on type.
• CPL(H) (ATPL(H) preferred).
• Current Class 1 Medical.
• Instrument Rating with MEH endorsement and renewals.
• Minimum 2,500 hours total helicopter time.
• Minimum 1,500 hours PIC helicopter.
• Minimum 1,200 hours turbine helicopter.
• Minimum 100 hours night PIC.
• NVIS rating and Low Level rating with Winch endorsement.
• Vaccination compliance per contract.
• B412 100+ hours on type; H145 100+ hours on type.

Responsibilities

• Join Aviation & Critical Services team supporting Queensland Health operations on Horn Island.
• Deliver mission-critical aeromedical and emergency service missions with AW139 helicopters.
• Operate on a 15 days on / 13 days off touring roster; may be deployed to other Babcock locations as needed.
• Maintain CASA compliance and aircraft currency; ensure high safety and mission readiness.
• Contribute to development and execution of critical aviation services across Far North Queensland.
