Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking qualified Multi-Engine Pilot (Fixed Base) to join our Aviation & Critical Services team in Rockhampton, Queensland. This role focuses on supporting the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service with aeromedical and rescue operations from a fixed base.

Ideal candidates hold AW139 Type Rating, CASA CPL(H)/ATPL(H), current Class 1 Medical, and MEH endorsement, with substantial helicopter hours and night PIC experience.

Qualifications

• AW139 Type Rating required.
• CASA CPL(H) (ATPL(H) preferred).
• Current Class 1 Medical.
• Instrument Rating with MEH endorsement.
• NVIS Rating.
• Low Level Rating.

Responsibilities

• Fly meaningful missions supporting emergency response, rescue and patient care outcomes.
• Join a highly skilled AW139 team delivering critical aviation services when they matter most.

Support life-saving aeromedical and rescue operations across Central Queensland with the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service.

About The Role

We are seeking applications from qualified Multi-Engine Helicopter Pilots to join our Aviation & Critical Services team in support of the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service based in Rockhampton, Queensland. At Babcock Mission Critical Services, we deliver critical aviation capability supporting emergency services, government agencies and communities across Australia. This is a fixed base opportunity, supporting critical aeromedical and rescue operations across Central Queensland.

About You

Essential

• AW139 Type Rating
• CASA CPL(H) (ATPL(H) preferred)
• Current Class 1 Medical
• Instrument Rating with MEH endorsement
• NVIS Rating
• Low Level Rating
• Minimum 2,500 hours total helicopter time
• Minimum 1,500 hours PIC
• Minimum 1,200 hours turbine helicopter time
• Minimum 100 hours night PIC

Desirable

• EMS or SAR experience
• Winch endorsement
• AW139 command experience
