Job summary

ISS Facility Services Australia and New Zealand is seeking an experienced Aviation Security Manager to lead security operations at Brisbane Airport. You will steer high-performing teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive service excellence in one of Australia’s busiest airport environments.

You will oversee workforce planning, incident investigations, and performance reporting while building strong relationships with regulators, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in aviation security or a regulated environment.
• Strong workforce planning and operational management experience.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience conducting investigations, audits, or operational reviews.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Current Queensland Security Licence or ability to obtain one.
• Current ASIC or ability to obtain one.

About the Role

Reporting to senior operational leadership, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of aviation security services while ensuring the highest standards of compliance, safety, service, and operational performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing airport security operations
• Driving a culture of safety, security, and accountability

About You

You are a confident and experienced operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You have a strong track record of leading teams, managing operational performance, and delivering outstanding customer and security outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

• Demonstrated leadership experience in aviation, security, transport, defence, emergency services, government, or a similar regulated industry
• Strong workforce planning and operational management experience
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Experience conducting investigations, audits, or operational reviews
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office and reporting system experience
• Current Queensland Security Licence, or the ability to obtain one
• Current ASIC, or the ability to obtain one

Qualifications in Security Management, Business Management, Leadership, Risk Management, or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
