MSS Security is seeking Aviation Protection Officers to join our team at Devonport Airport in Tasmania. This on-site role involves screening passengers, monitoring premises, and delivering high standards of customer service in a fast-paced aviation environment.

You must have full Australian working rights and be able to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC). A medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing is also required.

• Perform scans and bag searches to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.
• Monitor and patrol airport premises.

About the role

MSS Security is seeking Aviation Protection Officers to join our team at Devonport Airport.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct security screening for passengers, staff and visitors.
• Operate security technology and systems, including metal detectors, x-ray machines and explosive trace detection tests to identify potential risks or prohibited items.
• Perform scans and thorough bag searches when necessary to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.
• Monitor and patrol airport premises.
• Provide a high standard of customer service to passengers, staff and visitors.

Requirements:

• Full Australian working rights.
• Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Ability to undergo a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.
