Job summary

The Australian Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts is recruiting multiple APS6 positions in the Domestic Aviation & Reform Division, Affirmative Measures, Disability. Roles are based in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide with hybrid work arrangements and a baseline vetting security clearance.

Salary ranges from $99,733 to $118,084 per year plus 15.4% superannuation.

Qualifications

• Work independently with limited direction and deliver quality outcomes.
• Research, interpret and apply legislation including maintaining knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Provide accurate and specialised advice and anticipate problems for issues management.
• Demonstrate cultural capability and engage respectfully with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implement programs administered by the division.
• Anticipate risks and provide expert advice on complex policy and regulation.
• Develop and support relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare influential advice, reports, papers, and correspondence for Ministers and senior executives.
