Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior leader for the Aviation & Pavements team, based in Melbourne. You will lead engineers to win and deliver projects for major road authorities, international and regional airport clients, and for defence airfields across Australia and NZ.

Responsibilities include driving technical excellence, developing growth opportunities with clients, and contributing to strategic planning within ANZ Aviation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in airside infrastructure engineering design, aviation pavement design, pavement condition assessment and evaluation.
• Experience in interpreting, organising, executing and coordinating the development, capture and delivery of major aviation and transport infrastructure projects.
• Experience in project delivery and leadership as Project Director and/or Project Manager, Design Management and construction phase services monitoring across disciplines.
• Demonstrated client relationship management, with strong communication skills and an ability to positively influence those around you.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CASA, FAA, IATA and ICAO standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and inspire our team in a range of aviation and pavement projects in Melbourne and across ANZ.
• Drive technical excellence across our ANZ Aviation portfolio.
• Develop business growth opportunities with AECOM’s Clients and construction partners, working together with the Aviation Growth Director and other client partners.
• Participate in the development and execution of our ANZ Aviation business strategy.
• Participate in AECOM’s Global Aviation Technical Academy and the Aviation Tech Ex group.
• Active involvement in the Aviation Technical Practice Group, network of 850+ peers around the globe.
