Job summary

Accorhotel in Sydney is seeking a Full-time Commis Chef to join our fast-paced environment in our lounges. You will support the kitchen with preparation, cooking, and plating while upholding high standards of service for luxury guests.

You should hold a Certificate III in Cookery, be able to work a rotating roster, pass a Federal Police check, and have Australian working rights. Experience in a luxury setting is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification - Certificate III in Cookery.
• Luxury 5-star environment experience desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Must have full Australian working rights.
• Ability to pass a federal police background security check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of ingredients including chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring.
• Execute cooking techniques under supervision (grilling, frying, baking, sautéing).
• Follow established recipes and ensure proper presentation of dishes.
• Assist plating to meet portion size and presentation standards.
• Follow kitchen safety rules and proper use of equipment.
