Job summary

Jet Aviation’s Cairns MRO team seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Composites to maintain and repair aircraft composite structures. You will work with structures, maintenance and engineering to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality workmanship in an onsite setting.

The role requires a Certificate IV in Aeroskills, experience in aircraft composites, and the ability to interpret drawings and repair instructions. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV in Aeroskills.
• Experience in an aircraft maintenance facility.
• Experience with aircraft composites, on-wing or off-wing.
• Ability to interpret drawings, technical data and repair instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per OEM publications, data, procedures and aviation regulations.
• Repair and modify aircraft composite structures and components using approved processes and materials.
• Perform lay-up, bonding, vacuum bagging, curing and laminate application.
• Identify defects and repair requirements, escalating as needed.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance.
• Complete maintenance documentation and sign-offs.
• Promote safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
