Job summary

dnata is hiring a Catering Attendant at Canberra Airport. You will contribute across kitchen, bar make up, and wash areas to prepare meals and ensure high presentation standards for airline passengers.

The role requires shift work across a 7-day roster, strong hygiene practices, and the ability to stand for long periods. Benefits include onsite parking, meals, uniforms, and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Sound numerical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and to move and lift items.
• Ability to work shift work across a 7-day roster.
• Neat and tidy presentation.
• Sound knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP (desirable).
• Basic knife skills (desirable).
• Must obtain a clear National Police Check.
• Availability to work 38 hours per week in a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, plate meals, and meal tray sets according to visual guides.
• Stock airline carts with dry store items, equipment, snacks, and beverages.
• Load and unload wash lines; ensure cutlery, crockery and glassware are in good condition.
• Comply with food safety and HACCP guidelines and cleaning schedules.
• Coordinate with team to meet delivery times.
