Job summary

dnata catering at Canberra Airport is seeking a Catering Attendant to join our team. You’ll work across kitchen, bar make up, and wash areas to prepare all elements for a memorable inflight dining experience for our airline customers.

You will handle food safely, maintain presentation standards, and coordinate with colleagues to meet service timings. This full-time role offers career development, relocation opportunities, and 5 weeks of annual leave.

Qualifications

• Sound numerical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and to move and lift items.
• Ability to work shift across a 7-day roster.
• Neat and tidy presentation.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP (desired but not essential).
• Basic knife skills (desirable).
• Willing to obtain a National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Food handling, plating meals, and meal tray set to presentation specifications.
• Stocking airline carts with dry store items and equipment.
• Loading and unloading wash lines; ensure cutlery, crockery and glassware are in good condition.
• Complying with food safety and HACCP guidelines and hygiene schedules.
• Coordinate with team to ensure timely delivery of services.
