Job summary

Mount Isa Mines is seeking an Auxiliary Plant Attendant (Operator Maintainer) for the Mount Isa Power Station. The role involves operating and maintaining power generation, oxygen plants, and compressed air assets within a multidisciplinary team.

You will collaborate with tradespeople and engineers to achieve operational targets while maintaining a strong safety culture and reliable plant performance. Residential position with even-time rosters and training provided.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification.
• Boiler or Turbine High Risk License desirable; training provided for the right candidate.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Positive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work in a small, high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking applications for vacancies within the Mines Power Station for the role of Auxiliary Plant Attendant (Operator Maintainer). Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this challenging role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of activities while developing your technical skills and industry knowledge within a multidisciplinary team environment.

This residential position is based in Mount Isa and operates on an even-time continuous shift roster (7D/7O/7N/7O). Flexibility may occasionally be required in relation to work hours and roster arrangements.
