Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to advance automated test processes for subsea robotics. You will own test software, automation, and tooling to validate each Dive-XL vehicle before production, including Python frameworks, operator GUIs, and interlocks for safety during high-voltage testing.

You’ll manage station builds (NixOS), MES data flows, and configuration management to keep test stations reproducible.

Qualifications

• Degree in software, electrical, mechatronic or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with hardware testing and automated test systems (LabVIEW, TestStand).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, Shell, or others.
• Experience with communication protocols: USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc.
• 3+ years in a relevant field, preferably electro‑mechanical hardware testing in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of complex electromechanical systems and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build broad test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream (PCBA bring up, electrical boxes, system level checkouts, and component-level testing).
• Develop, execute, and manage test ecosystem to de-risk hardware and meet reliability targets.
• Perform hands-on root cause analysis of electromechanical subsystems using structured problem solving.
• Design, implement and maintain semi-automated testing equipment and protocols.
• Diagnose production test issues and coordinate with Electrical Design and Software for escalation.
• Collaborate with design/systems teams through product development cycles and oversee test deployment in production.
• Produce and maintain testing logs/data and develop a library of error codes.
• Generate controlled test instructions for technicians in MES or other systems.
• Optimize end-of-line FAT testing of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles.
