Job summary

Steps2Life Health is seeking Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to join a growing multidisciplinary team in Western Sydney. You will work with NDIS participants, families and networks to understand behaviours of concern and implement practical, evidence-based strategies to improve quality of life, independence and participation.

You’ll be supported with regular supervision, access to a diverse caseload and opportunities to specialise within PBS, while collaborating with OTs, SLPs,

Qualifications

• Compassionate and curious practitioners who can look beyond behaviours to understand underlying causes.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments for participants.
• Develop interim and comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
• Identify functions and contributing factors of behaviours of concern.
• Develop person-centred, evidence-based behaviour support strategies.
• Support participants to develop skills, independence and quality of life.
• Collaborate with families, carers, schools and other professionals.
• Provide training and implementation support to support networks.
• Maintain case notes, reports and NDIS documentation.
• Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
