Job summary

Hexagon is seeking recent graduates or early-career engineers to support the deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of autonomous haulage technology in a large-scale mining project in Western Australia. You will rotate across multiple technical disciplines within the Autonomous Technology Engineering team, gaining hands-on experience in a world-first autonomous solution.

This fixed-term 2-year assignment offers a Fly-In Fly-Out roster to Onslow with Perth as the point of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline including Mechatronics, Electrical, Technology, Engineering.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to understand and interpret technical data.
• Able to work in a new technology project, understanding of test, validation and verification stages of technology development.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Passionate about problem solving and troubleshooting in new environments.
• Ability to work a fly-in, fly-out roster.
• Proven success in collaborating in a customer centric, solution focused engagement.
• Valid Australian working rights: Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support the deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of autonomous haulage technology across fleets.
• Rotate across teams involved in development and deployment stages of the project and product development.
• Gain hands-on experience in large-scale greenfield technology projects.
• Assist with data analysis activities to improve system performance, reliability, and operational outcomes.
• Participate in installing, commissioning, operation, and optimization of onboard autonomous technology.
• Support route optimization and real-time monitoring for autonomous haulage activities.
