Job summary

Healthscope Hospitals is seeking an enthusiastic Social Worker to join the Allied Health team at Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Randwick, Sydney. The role is permanent part-time (12 hours per week over 3 days) and offers a varied caseload across general medical, ICU, cardiac, maternity and oncology services.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work and eligibility with the AASW.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience in adult acute inpatient hospital settings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

• Providing a high standard of clinical care.
• Working independently as part of the healthcare team.
• Contributing to the multidisciplinary care of our patients.
• Involvement with both inpatient and outpatient services.
• Communicating effectively with all stakeholders including doctors, allied health, nurses, patients and their families.
