Job summary

CPB Contractors Pty is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial integrity across upcoming regional Queensland projects. The role offers an autonomous position on a roster, ensuring robust reporting, cashflow management and compliance within a large CIMIC group framework.

The successful candidate will have a CPA qualification, a accounting degree, construction sector experience and strong stakeholder communication to support senior leadership with strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business and CPA accreditation are required.
• Experience in a similar finance role within the construction industry.
• Ability to interpret legislation and contractual guidelines for compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems; JDEdwards highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control all project accounting processes and systems.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial and management reports.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and cost controls across programs.
• Oversee month-end accruals and regular audits.
• Coordinate payments to creditors and subcontractors per terms.
• Lead the project finance team and provide strategic financial advice.
