Job summary

Proactive Health in Sunbury is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to manage a diverse caseload in a four-day-a-week role with potential to move to full-time as demand grows.

You will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team across DVA, EPC, NDIS, Home Care Packages, and private referrals, with strong support from a national network and access to ongoing CPD through the Proactive Health Academy.

Qualifications

• ESSA accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), or eligibility for accreditation.
• A recognised tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or Clinical Exercise Physiology.
• Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance (or willingness to obtain).
• A valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Current or willingness to obtain a National Police Check and relevant state-based screening (e.g. NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children Check where applicable).
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and program design skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration and patient engagement.
• The ability to work independently in community settings while contributing positively to the clinic team.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive assessments incorporating functional testing and health screening.
• Designing and implementing tailored exercise programs across multiple settings.
• Managing a diverse caseload spanning DVA, Medicare EPC, NDIS, Home Care Packages, workers' compensation and private clients.
• Delivering individual and group exercise sessions suited to varied clinical needs.
• Working closely with other allied health professionals and GPs to keep care comprehensive.
• Monitoring client progress and adjusting programs to hit clinical goals.
• Maintaining detailed, compliant clinical documentation.
• Educating clients on lifestyle changes and self-management strategies.
