Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Spraypainter in a smash repair or automotive workshop environment.
• Strong knowledge of paint systems, colour matching techniques and spray application methods
• Competency in surface preparation and masking procedures
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to automotive spray painting
• Ability to work with precision and attention to detail to achieve high-quality finishes
• Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively within a workshop environment
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
• Physical fitness to perform tasks requiring standing, reaching and lifting

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, cleaning and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply primer, undercoat and paint finishes using spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and colour matching
• Mix paint colours accurately to match existing vehicle finishes and customer specifications
• Operate and maintain spray painting equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Inspect completed work to ensure paint finish meets quality standards and customer expectations
• Follow health, safety and environmental guidelines, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment
• Communicate effectively with other team members and management regarding project progress and any issues that arise
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, including proper storage and disposal of materials
