Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within automotive service
• Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance
• Demonstrated leadership and team development ability
• Excellent communication to manage client expectations

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the service department team, including scheduling, performance management, and ongoing professional development of technicians and support staff
• Oversee all service operations to ensure efficient workflow, timely job completion, and adherence to quality standards
• Maintain knowledge of service inventory, equipment and tools, ensuring stock levels and maintenance
• Handle customer inquiries, manage service appointments, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to vehicle servicing and maintenance
• Monitor service department financial performance including labor costs, parts utilization and revenue targets
• Implement and maintain health and safety protocols
• Liaise with management on performance, staffing, and improvements
• Maintain detailed service records and reports to track performance metrics
