Job summary

Carma in Sydney is seeking an Automotive Fitter to prep, disassemble and reassemble vehicles, ensuring road-ready condition and Carma-approved quality. You will work in a fast-paced workshop with a focus on precision and timely turnaround.

Join a collaborative team and take advantage of growth opportunities, maintained by internal systems and processes. A NSW driver’s license is required, and experience with panels, diagnostics, and DMS tools is a bonus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in automotive fitting or panel beating.
• Ability to work in a busy, dynamic workshop with changing priorities.
• Detail-oriented and focused on quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Prepping vehicles for repairs by removing and disassembling panels and parts.
• Reassembling and refitting vehicles post-repair, ensuring road-ready condition.
• Keeping work orders and job details up to date in the internal system.
• Checking vehicle functionality and quality standards after repairs.
• Collaborating with painters to ensure smooth workflows and timelines.
• Troubleshooting problems on the go and suggesting process improvements.

We’re on the hunt for a skilled Automotive Fitter to join our team at Carma! In this role, you’ll handle everything from prepping and reassembling vehicles to ensuring every car meets our high standards. What you'll be doing?

• Prepping vehicles for repairs by removing and disassembling panels and parts.
• Reassembling and refitting vehicles post-repair, ensuring they’re road-ready and Carma-approved.
• Keeping our internal system up to date with work orders and job details—accuracy is key!
• Checking vehicle functionality and quality standards post-repair.
• Collaborating with the team, especially painters, to ensure smooth workflows and accurate timelines.
• Solving problems on the go and suggesting ways to improve our processes.

Okay, let’s talk about you:

• At least 1 year of experience in automotive fitting or panel beating.
• Able to handle a busy, dynamic workshop with changing priorities.
• Detail-oriented and proud of the quality of your work.
• Skilled at meeting deadlines.
• Tech-savvy - experience with Apple products or DMS systems is a bonus.
• Clean NSW driver’s license and a can-do attitude!

In this role you’ll be based in our St Peters, Sydney site, with room for parking and train/ bus stops nearby.
