Speedy Mech Pty Ltd in Victoria is seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles from our Brooklyn workshop. The role involves diagnostics, routine maintenance, and on-site breakdown responses, with safety compliance and a VIC driver’s license required.

Certificate III in Automotive or higher and at least 1 year of workshop experience are preferred; salary is $75,000–$80,000 plus superannuation in a full-time role with a structured week.

• Diagnose mechanical or electrical issues in engines and components.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of brakes, steering and suspension systems.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
• Test and adjust parts after repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Inspect vehicles to determine roadworthiness or required repairs.
• Disassemble and inspect engine assemblies, transmissions and steering systems.
• Repair or replace worn parts and reassemble components.
• Use computers to assist in diagnosing and testing components.
• Respond to vehicle breakdown calls for on-site service.
