Job summary

Ayva Packaging Pty in Sydney seeks an experienced Industrial Automation Technologist to support PLC-driven automation, robotics and injection-moulding machinery in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will work hands-on to maximise OEE, safety and product quality in a 24/7 operation.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance and quality teams to minimise downtime and drive system improvements and upgrades across automation, die-setting and control systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechatronic engineering.
3–4 years hands-on industrial automation experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
PLC development with fluency in structured text and ladder logic.
Experience integrating robots in handling, inspection or packaging processes.

Responsibilities

Integrate industrial robots into handling, inspection and packaging duties and verify safety interlocks.
Root-cause analysis of faults, troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment 24/7.
Service, repair and set up injection moulding machines, robotics and IML systems.
Perform preventative/predictive maintenance, upgrades and calibrations.
Install, modify and repair machinery with or without schematics.
Analyse downtime, defects and waste and implement corrective actions.
