Job summary

CNFiTech Engineering seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to design, program, test, commission, and support PLC/SCADA systems across industrial and utility projects in Sydney. The role involves regular site attendance, commissioning activities, and stakeholder engagement to meet client requirements.

Candidates should have strong Siemens S7, Step 7, and TIA Portal expertise, plus experience with ClearSCADA/GeoSCADA and electrical drawings. A relevant Eng degree is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, testing, and commissioning PLC/SCADA on industrial and utility projects.
• Strong technical and project delivery capabilities across multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and reading electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, test, commission, and support PLC and SCADA systems.
• Manage automation and control projects from design through commissioning and handover.
• Develop control system designs, specifications, requirements, and technical documentation.
• Analyse plant performance for reliability and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, and site activities.
• Prepare operations, maintenance, and handover documentation.
