Job summary

CNFiTech Engineering seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to join the team in Sydney, focusing on PLC/SCADA design, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support for industrial and utility projects.

The role requires 5–10 years of hands-on experience, strong knowledge of Siemens S7 (Step 7, TIA Portal), and familiarity with Schneider M580, ClearSCADA, and GeoSCADA systems. On-site collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience designing, building, testing, and commissioning PLC/SCADA systems for industrial/infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Siemens S7 platforms including Step 7 and TIA Portal.
• Bachelor's degree recognized by Engineers Australia in Electrical/Mechatronics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, test, commission, and support PLC and SCADA systems.
• Manage automation projects from design through commissioning and handover.
• Develop control system designs, specifications, requirements, and technical documentation.
• Analyse plant performance to identify automation and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, and site activities.
