Job summary

Bank Australia is seeking a Process Improvement Analyst to identify, analyze, and implement improvements across business processes, driving efficiency, cost reductions, and better service delivery. You will map current processes, gather insights through workshops, and embed automation and AI into redesigned workflows.

You will collaborate with Operations, IT, Risk, People & Culture and Transformation teams, monitor outcomes, and report ROI to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Analyse end-to-end business processes using data, stakeholder input and industry best practice to identify inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather insights, validate pain points and co-design improved processes.
• Develop high-quality process maps, workflows and documentation (e.g. Visio, BPMN 2.0).
• Recommend and implement process improvements, including automation opportunities and performance metrics.
• Embed automation and transformational technologies (including AI and AI agents) into redesigned processes.
• Collaborate with Operations, IT, Risk, People & Culture and Transformation teams to ensure effective implementation and change adoption.
• Monitor, measure and report on improvement outcomes such as cycle-time reduction, cost savings and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Support enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of operational excellence.
• Present findings, insights and ROI to senior leaders and executives to gain alignment and support.
• Engage with internal teams, customers and external bodies to ensure improvements meet quality, risk and compliance expectations.
