Job summary

Auto & General is seeking an Automation Analyst to join the Testing department within the Technology division. You will drive performance testing and develop robust test suites to ensure scalable delivery across A&G’s applications.

Reporting to the Performance Lead, you will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide performance readiness. You will also explore PoCs for AI tools in performance testing and provide on-call support.

Qualifications

• IT-related degree or equivalent experience.
• Min. 3 years' experience as an Automation Engineer (with a focus on performance).
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of performance frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium).
• Experience with CI/CD and version control (e.g., Bamboo, Bitbucket, GitLab/Hub).
• Experience building/extending performance test frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, time, and resource management.
• Pragmatic and resilient.

The Opportunity

Reporting to our Performance Lead, you will be a key contributor within the Performance Test Team. Your expertise will drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust performance testing, ensuring the quality, consistency, and usability of Auto & General's diverse systems. Location

This role is available at any of our Brisbane and Sunshine Coast locations providing flexibility to choose the office that suits you. Our Toowong office is close to the city with easy public transport and parking options while our North Lakes offices are within walking distance of some of the north side’s best retail locations. If you love a view of the water, why not consider our Kawana office on the edge of Lake Kawana and only a five minute drive to the closest beach.
