Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a Technical Assistant - Autobody Refinishing/Paint and Panel to join the Campbelltown Campus. This permanent full‑time, part‑year role requires you to work 35 hours per week over 44 weeks per year.

You will prepare materials, maintain equipment, and support teaching staff in practical training while ensuring safety and compliance across facilities. Travel to other campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing and 3–4 years industry experience.
• Ability to service, clean, repair and safely operate workshop machinery.
• Current Driver’s licence and Forklift Licence; strong administration & computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support in preparation of materials and equipment for educational delivery.
• Ensure ongoing care and maintenance of equipment, facilities and grounds within the teaching section.
• Support teaching staff in delivery of practical training and assessment activities; maintain tools and equipment per WHS.
