Job summary

Mineral Resources Limited is seeking a skilled commercial vehicle technician to maintain a fleet of Kenworth C509 road trains in Weipa, North Queensland. The role offers a permanent full-time position on a 2/1 roster with rotating day and night shifts, including Fly In, Fly Out from Brisbane or Cairns.

You will work on quad and triple trailer configurations, with a strong focus on safety, quality of work and diagnostic capabilities. Competitive salaries and a MinRes MyShare Plan are on offer.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualification.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Commitment to safety and quality of work.
• Experience with Kenworth T909, T509, Cummins ISX, quad and triple trailer configurations.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Unlimited Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Kenworth C509 road trains with quad or triple side tippers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics to keep fleet reliable.
• Operate in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Participate in a 2/1 roster with day and night shifts; FIFO from Brisbane or Cairns, QLD.

The Opportunity

You will play a crucial part within our team supporting our haulage operations by maintaining our impressive fleet of Kenworth C509 Road Trains, equipped with quad or triple configuration side tippers with the latest technology and specifications. This position is based at Weipa in North Queensland.

This is a permanent full-time position based on a 2/1 roster with rotating day and night shifts, offering Fly In, Fly Out from Brisbane or Cairns, QLD.
