Job summary

Mineral Resources Limited is seeking a trades-qualified technician to maintain a large Kenworth fleet on a 2:1 roster at Weipa, North Queensland. The role includes rotating day and night shifts, with Fly In, Fly Out from Brisbane or Cairns.

You will perform diagnostics, fault finding and preventive maintenance to support safety and quality across the haulage operation while pursuing career progression and training opportunities within MinRes.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualification and an Australian driver’s licence.
• Experience with Kenworth T909/T509 and quad or triple trailer configurations.
• Strong diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service a fleet of Kenworth C509 road trains on a 2:1 roster.
• Perform diagnostics, fault finding and preventative maintenance to ensure safety and uptime.
• Operate in a FIFO capacity from Brisbane or Cairns with day and night shifts.

Job description

You will play a crucial part within our team supporting our haulage operations by maintaining our impressive fleet of Kenworth C509 Road Trains, equipped with quad or triple configuration side tippers with the latest technology and specifications. This position is based at Weipa in North Queensland.

This is a permanent full-time position based on a 2/1 roster with rotating day and night shifts, offering Fly In, Fly Out from Brisbane or Cairns, QLD.

• Australian recognised Trade Qualification
• Current Australian Driver's License

• Excellent diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
• The ability to perform physically demanding tasks
