MINERAL RESOURCES LIMITED is hiring for a full-time workshop role in Onslow, WA. Join a close-knit team servicing Kenworth C509 fleet, delivering preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and rapid breakdown support in a modern 2.5-acre workshop with hoists and bays.

The position offers a 8D:6R 7N:7R roster, site allowances and career development, with opportunities to upskill through leadership and OEM training. Australian/New Zealand trade qualification required with unlimited work rights.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong preventative maintenance skills and safe work practices.
• Cummins Insight experience highly regarded; Air conditioning licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Kenworth C509 fleet to minimise downtime.
• Perform general servicing and preventive maintenance; change outs as needed.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and provide swift resolutions in a busy workshop.
• Operate in a 2.5-acre workshop with 15 bays, hoists and concrete floors.

The Opportunity

A full-time position working an 8D:6R 7N:7R roster and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor. You will be working in fast paced workshop environment alongside a close-knit team of Fitters, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers & Trade assistants. Flight will be ex Perth and on a Friday.

• Play a crucial role in ensuring the MinRes fleet of Kenworth C509s remains road worthy and downtime is kept to a minimum
• Main scopes of work will include general servicing, preventive maintenance, component change outs and providing a swift resolution to any breakdowns
• Work in a state of the art 2.5-acre workshop equip with 15 bays, concrete floors with hoists provided (no pits) & all undercover!
• All Kenworth C509s are equip with Cummins ISX Engines, Eatons Ultra-shift gear boxes & with a 3 axel heavy Sisu diffs

What is required?

• Australian or New Zealand recognised trade qualification
• A strong commitment to safety and quality of work
• Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
• Cummins Insight experience highly regarded

About Onslow Iron

Our Onslow Iron project is set to redefine mining in Western Australia through world-first autonomous road trains, industry leading dust free transport and innovative tran-shipping.

Taking shape 150 kilometres east of Onslow, the project will ship around 35 million tonnes of iron ore per year and is expected to have a mine life of more than 30 years.

The project will encompass the Ken’s Bore mine (approximately 150km from Onslow), Onslow Port infrastructure and Onslow Truck Maintenance Facility.
