BHP, at the Newman West Mobile Maintenance Workshop, is seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to support heavy haulage and mining equipment. You will deliver preventative and reactive maintenance in a busy, well-equipped workshop and work FIFO from Perth.

This role offers a stable roster (8 days on, 6 days off; 7 nights on, 7 nights off) with on-site camp facilities and a strong emphasis on safety, training, and career development within BHP Operations Services.

Qualifikationen

• Experience using diagnostic tools to identify electrical faults in mining equipment.
• Ability to manage spare parts from on-site or off-site warehouses.
• Knowledge of OH&S standards in a mining environment.

About the Role

Are you a skilled Auto Electrician looking for an exciting opportunity to work with heavy haulage and mining equipment in a dynamic, hands‑on environment? Join our team at the Mobile Maintenance Workshop in Newman, where you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

As an Auto Electrician at the Newman West site, you will deliver ongoing preventative, planned, and routine maintenance through essential mobile services. You’ll work primarily in the Mobile Maintenance Workshop, benefiting from a consistent, well‑equipped environment, and stay at the same camp during each rostered period for added stability and familiarity.

This role operates on a Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) basis from Perth, with a roster of 8 days on, 6 days off, followed by 7 nights on and 7 nights off, providing a balanced work‑life structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Using diagnostic tools and software to identify electrical faults and malfunctions.
• Managing spare parts for maintained equipment from on‑site or off‑site warehouses.
• Contributing to safety compliance and adhering to OH&S standards in a mining environment.
• Supporting a positive, team‑oriented and safety‑focused work culture.
• Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance and repairs on the electrical systems of heavy mobile mining equipment.
