Job summary

MacKellar is recruiting a skilled maintenance technician to support mining mobile plant and equipment across regional Queensland. You will perform fault finding, scheduled and preventative maintenance, and contribute to on-site reliability.

This role offers day and night shifts, flights from Cairns or within Queensland, meals, camp accommodation, and a team-focused, safety-conscious workplace with opportunities to develop expertise in Auto Electrical and air conditioning requirements.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate with post-trade experience in Auto Electrical.
• Air conditioning ticket.
• Experience servicing and maintaining mining mobile plant and equipment.
• Current Queensland driver licence.
• Current Standard 11 and CBM or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Be involved with all areas of machine maintenance, including fault finding and troubleshooting, both scheduled and preventative maintenance.
• Be flexible with work hours, with the ability to work day and night shifts.
• Ensure planned repairs are executed within time and cost requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work within teams to develop and implement solutions.
• Be committed to procedure based preventative maintenance.
