Job summary

Redpath is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our underground mining maintenance team on a major gold project. You will diagnose, repair and maintain Sandvik equipment, contributing to safety and productivity in a high-standard operation.

Work with a skilled team in a safety-focused environment; FIFO/DIDO options and a 14/14 roster provide stability while you advance your career in the mining industry.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Auto Electrical trade qualification.
• Experience working on underground mining equipment.
• Previous experience with Sandvik equipment highly regarded.
• Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Solid understanding of underground mining electrical systems.
• Strong commitment to safety, procedures and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous underground mining or heavy industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical diagnostics, fault finding and repairs on Sandvik underground equipment
• Perform preventative, planned and scheduled maintenance
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical faults
• Identify and resolve faults efficiently to maximise equipment availability
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site, OEM and Redpath standards
• Complete accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to support safe and efficient operations
• Contribute to a positive culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement

ABOUT THE ROLE

Redpath is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our underground mining maintenance team on a major gold project.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the electrical maintenance, diagnostics and repair of a modern fleet of Sandvik underground mining equipment, helping keep our operation safe, reliable and productive.

You will work alongside a highly skilled maintenance team in a safety-focused environment, with exposure to a well-maintained fleet of modern underground equipment.

Our Fleet Includes

• Sandvik development drills
• Sandvik production drills
• Sandvik loaders (LHDs)
• Sandvik underground trucks
• Auxiliary underground support equipment
