Job summary

Avida is looking for a keen and energetic Auto Electrician to join our Assembly facility in Australia. The role involves installing, testing, diagnosing, and repairing a range of electrical systems (12V, 24V, 48V DC and 240V AC) across our vehicle platforms.

You will work on wiring harnesses, perform quality checks, and collaborate with the Electrical Engineering Team to ensure safe and efficient integration of systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in the automotive industry (ideally).
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex electrical issues.

Responsibilities

Job description

We require a keen and energetic Auto Electrician to join our team in our Assembly facility.

A level of maturity and trade experience is sought, as we are looking for someone who wants to work hard and help us create some of the best vehicles exploring Australia.

This role will involve installing, testing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of systems within Avida vehicles, including lithium batteries, battery management systems, solar and MPPT systems, hybrid inverters, and electrical systems (12V, 24V, 48V DC and 240V AC systems).

Installing vehicle wiring, harness, and component systems.

Diagnosing electrical issues and proposing a course of action.

Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems.

Working across both low-voltage DC and 240V AC electrical systems

Maintaining a clean working environment.

Other assembly and installation tasks as required.

Collaborating with our Electrical Engineering Team to integrate electrical systems and components into vehicle designs efficiently and safely.

Responding to production auto-electrical issues, solving them with your talents.

Quality checking electrical installations.

Contributing to our culture of continuous improvement by suggesting, identifying, and executing improvement ideas.

To ensure success as an Assembly Auto Electrician, you should have strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems, a good eye for detail, and the ability to problem-solve complex electrical issues. Experience working with 240V systems is highly desirable.
