Vault Minerals, Deflector Operation, seeks Auto Electricians with underground fleet experience to join the on-site maintenance team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs across underground and surface mobile equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.

Reporting to the Maintenance Leading Hand, the Auto Electrician will operate on 8:6, 7:7 or 15:13 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton, with day and night shifts.

Qualifikationen

• Trade certificate or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years’ underground maintenance experience.
• Refrigerant Handling Licence required.
• Air Conditioning ARC Accreditation required.
• WA C-Class Driver’s Licence mandatory.
• HRW Licence mandatory.

We are seeking Auto Electricians with underground fleet experience to join our team on site.

Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.

Reporting to the Maintenance Leading Hand, the Auto Electrician is responsible for providing quality, timely preventive maintenance and repairs across both underground and surface operations. This role ensures full compliance with Vault Minerals’ operational procedures, legislative requirements, and best practice safety standards to achieve production and safety targets.

This position will be offered on an 8:6, 7:7 or 15:13 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton, including both day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on underground and surface mobile equipment
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics to ensure accurate and timely repairs
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed to the highest standard
• Minimise production disruptions by ensuring access to critical parts and equipment
• Maintain strong relationships with external service providers and suppliers
• Ensure all stock items used are booked out of the store
• Respond promptly to urgent breakdowns impacting production or safety
• Complete all documentation and work orders with required information and sign-offs
• Communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams
• Attend and actively participate in shift change meetings and provide accurate handover notes
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and cost savings
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor

About You

• Trade Certificate in Automotive Electrical Fitting or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in underground maintenance operations
• Refrigerant Handling Licence
• Air Conditioning ARC Accreditation
• WA Manual Driver’s Licence (C-Class)
• HRW Licence
